Tiffany Stratton beat the odds at WWE Money in the Bank this past weekend. She retrieved the briefcase right after tossing Chelsea Green from atop a ladder onto two tables positioned outside the ring.
Aside from the very well-received titular contest and her win,
Stratton was also booked by the creative team for a backstage confrontation with WWE Hall of Famer and Toronto native Trish Stratus.
Stratus being announced as the host for the event prior led to organic anticipation as to what the legendary wrestler will be up to after being absent from the program since September 2023.
But her brief interaction with the 2024 Ms. Money in the Bank was the only noteworthy takeaway from her latest appearance. During the post-show press conference, Tiffany Stratton commented on possibly facing Trish Stratus:
“Those are two completely different generations. Trish, Trishy Time, she is one of my idols in professional wrestling, and I am ready to get in the ring with the G.O.A.T,” she said.
Being a member of the SmackDown roster, Tiffany could possibly be keeping an eye on WWE Women’s Champion Bayley. But then there is a catch.
Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton have forged a friendship on WWE SmackDown
Nia Jax became the 2024 Queen of the Ring in May, which meant that she would receive a world title shot at SummerSlam. Now that Money in the Bank is in the rearview mirror, the match is made official— Jax vs. Women’s Champion Bayley.
Meanwhile, on the blue brand, The Irresistible Force has been showing a soft spot for Tiffany Stratton. Being a despised heel on the roster, Jax has mostly been a loner. But of late she has shown sisterly affection to the new MITB contract holder.
Triple H and the creative team have smartly planted the seeds for a major rivalry down the line if needed. That is considering Jax walks out of Cleveland, Ohio as the new Women’s Champion.
Jax is seemingly a favorite among higher-ups on account of her improvement since returning to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2023. It is not out of the realm of possibility that the company rewards her after a year of solid character and in-ring work.
