Ronda Rousey’s exit from WWE shocked many, as the star was in a high-profile feud at last year’s SummerSlam.
Today, The Baddest Woman on The Planet announced her upcoming debut in the world of graphic novels.
Ronda Rousey has never shied away from penning down her feelings, as she’s the author of two autobiographies,
My Fight / Your Fight and Our Fight. The 37-year-old has been quite busy since parting ways with the Stamford-based promotion.
Today, the former RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion announced on Twitter (X) that she’s making her debut in the world of graphic novels with Expecting the Unexpected. The star is the writer of the novel, and she worked with different artists to bring her story to life.
“Finally, I can announce the martial arts romantic comedy graphic novel I’ve been working on for the last 5 years! ‘Expecting the Unexpected,’ written by myself, illustrated by Eisner-winning artist @MikeDeodato, and edited by Marvel alumni @axelalonzo, is a labor of love I can’t wait to share with the world. Becky Lynch on why she never got a singles match against Ronda Rousey in WWE
Ronda Rousey dominated the women’s division in the Stamford-based promotion for a while before she suffered her first loss against Becky Lynch at The Showcase of The Immortals in New Jersey.
After returning to WWE, The Baddest Woman on The Planet was never the same, as she elevated other women on the roster instead of conquering the division across brands.
Before the end of her tenure in WWE, she never got to have a mega-match against Becky Lynch. Speaking to the Daily Mail UK, The Man revealed why the two never went head-to-head in singles action.
“Do I think that was the match that everyone was clamoring for? Yes, it was. Everyone wanted that singles match. And I think people thought that moment in time would be evergreen, and it wasn’t. That’s OK, too! I think you can’t force things when they’re not there, and I think we see that with what’s currently going on with the product,” Lynch said.
Ronda Rousey left WWE after SummerSlam 2023, while Becky Lynch is currently on a hiatus.
