Johnny Gargano is a 6-time champion in WWE
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are no strangers to gold as they captured the NXT Tag Team Championship under Triple H’s black and gold era of NXT. After losing the titles, the two feuded with each other for years on the developmental brand.
The two stars also captured the NXT Championship on the brand and moved their separate ways. Later, Gargano had three runs on the developmental brand as the NXT North American Champion and created The Way alongside Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Austin Theory.
After his hiatus, The Rebel Heart joined Monday Night RAW in 2022. The 36-year-old crossed paths with his old friend and rival, which revived DIY on the main roster for the foreseeable future. Later, they moved to Friday Night SmackDown and got a fresh start on the blue brand.
On the most recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller put their titles on the line against DIY. After weeks of build-up and promos, Gargano and Ciampa captured their first titles on the main roster by defeating A-Town Down Under.
