The recent episode of SmackDown was nothing short of a spectacle for the WWE Universe. The show kicked off with CM Punk making a grand entrance,
declaring his powerful comeback. Punk boldly claimed that he had fulfilled his promise by destroying Drew McIntyre and eliminating him from both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown.
As CM Punk finished his statement, Paul Heyman appeared, pleading for help,
fearful of Solo Sikoa and Tanga Loa. At that moment, members of the Bloodline entered, threatening to destroy CM Punk. However, ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes suddenly rushed into the ring with a bat, forcing the Bloodline to retreat. Cody then challenged Solo Sikoa to a one-on-one match, setting the stage for the main event.
Following this, a heated backstage brawl erupted between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk. In this intense fight, Drew McIntyre severely injured CM Punk, leading WWE officials to carry Punk away in an ambulance. Given his previous injuries, CM Punk’s return to the ring remains uncertain.
The show also featured a ‘Money in the Bank’ qualifying match, with Tama Tonga, Carmelo Hayes, and Dun representing the Bloodline. In this bout, Carmelo Hayes secured victory by rolling up Dun, thereby qualifying for the ‘Money in the Bank’ briefcase match.
During the episode, a fierce altercation unfolded between LA Knight and Santos Escobar. Just as LA Knight issued a challenge to Logan Paul, Logan launched a surprise attack from behind. Whether this leads to a match for the United States Championship at ‘Money in the Bank’ remains to be seen.
The SmackDown main event saw Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa face off. Solo initially dominated the match, but Cody retaliated with his high-flying moves. Just when Cody was on the verge of winning, Bloodline members stormed the ring and attacked him. In response, Dun and Kevin Owens rushed to Cody’s aid.
At this point, a new superstar, Jacob Fatu, made a dramatic entrance, attacking everyone in sight. Jacob hit Kevin Owens with a clothesline and finished Cody Rhodes with a devastating splash, leaving him incapacitated. Now, the question is, will Jacob Fatu become the new Tribal Chief?
