When Roman Reigns made his triumphant return at SummerSlam,
the crowd’s reaction was electric,
reminiscent of the adulation Vince McMahon had long sought for his superstars.
Fans barely had time to speculate who Reigns would target – Solo Sikoa or Cody Rhodes.
The answer came within moments as Reigns delivered a Superman Punch and a Spear to his cousin Solo Sikoa, leaving the ring and Cleveland with a glance towards Rhodes that spoke volumes. Even though WWE must decide which storyline to pursue, that look hinted at future developments that have fans buzzing with anticipation.
When asked how it felt to witness Reigns’ return at SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes expressed deep appreciation for the support and impact Reigns brings to the forefront of WWE.
“I don’t want to fill the room with cliched positive platitudes about the return of the ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns, but truth be told, things could have turned out very differently. I might not be sitting here as one of the top stars in the industry if it weren’t for Roman Reigns,” Cody Rhodes shared with reporters via WrestleTalk.
“So yes, I definitely owe him… I have quite a list of people I owe, and Roman might be at the top. Once again, it’s not about love lost; it’s about what could have happened. There’s a unique relationship there, I suppose. I haven’t seen or spoken to him since WrestleMania. I think WWE fans, wrestling fans, the WWE Universe, they wanted him back, and SummerSlam delivered. I’m always thrilled about that.”
As Cody Rhodes looks ahead, the alliance with Roman Reigns promises to be a dynamic and captivating storyline. With the Tribal Chief back in action and the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats, the future looks bright and full of potential for Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns
