BUTTERFINGER BALLS
Ingredients:
2 cups crushed Butterfinger candy bars
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups crushed graham crackers
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
Additional crushed Butterfinger candy bars for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Butterfinger Filling
Unwrap the Fun Size Butterfinger candy bars and place them in a zip-top bag. Use a rolling pin or the back of a spoon to crush them into small pieces.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Butterfinger candy bars, creamy peanut butter, softened unsalted butter, powdered sugar, pure vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Stir the mixture until it’s well combined and forms a dough-like consistency.
Step 2: Shape the Balls
Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Once all the balls are shaped, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
Step 3: Prepare the Chocolate Coating
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can add vegetable shortening to the chocolate if you prefer a smoother and shinier coating.
Heat the chocolate in 20-30 second intervals in the microwave, stirring after each interval until it’s completely melted and smooth.
Step 4: Coat the Butterfinger Balls
Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each chilled Butterfinger ball into the melted chocolate to coat it evenly.
Allow any excess chocolate to drip off, and then place the coated ball back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 5: Set and Serve
Let the coated Butterfinger Balls set at room temperature until the chocolate coating is firm.
Step 6: Enjoy!
Serve your Butterfinger Balls as a delightful dessert or share them with friends and family. These crunchy, creamy delights are sure to be a hit
