Ingredients:
For the Sloppy Joe Mix:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Garlic Bread:
1 loaf French bread, halved lengthwise
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and garlic, cooking until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
For the garlic bread, combine butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Spread evenly on each half of the French bread. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Bake the garlic bread for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and cheese is melted.
Spoon the sloppy joe mix over the garlic bread halves, then cut into portions to serve.
