8-time champion set to return to WWE programming for the first time in 90 days

WWE Money in the Bank is around the corner and the company is looking to pull out all the stops to host another memorable international premium live event.

While a few surprise appearances are expected on the show, a major name has already announced her return to the company.

The star in question is Trish Stratus, who has been away from WWE programming for nearly three months.

The eight-time champion had a lengthy feud with Becky Lynch in 2023, following which she took another hiatus. However, Stratus appeared for a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley during the WrestleMania XL pre-show.

With Money in the Bank taking place in Toronto, the legendary star is set to return to her old hunting ground once again. Stratus recently announced that she will be doing an in-venue hospitality appearance before WWE’s upcoming premium live event this Saturday at Scotiabank Arena.

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest will also be appearing alongside the Hall of Famer.

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus recently commented on retirement
Trish Stratus is one of the biggest female pro wrestling stars of all time. The 48-year-old hung up her boots in 2006. However, she continued to make sporadic appearances over the years.

Stratus made a full-time return to the Stamford-based promotion in early 2023 as she helped Lita and Becky Lynch against Damage CTRL. However, she turned heel after some time to begin a lengthy feud with Lynch, which culminated in a Steel Cage Match between the two stars.

While the former Women’s Champion has stayed away from the squared circle since the match, the door for her in-ring return is still open. She recently talked about retirement during a Q&A session at River City Wrestling Con. The veteran remarked that she does not know what the term “retirement” means and that she always stays ready.

“Retirement? What is retirement? I’m not familiar with this word. I don’t know anything about this word. We just stay ready. That’s a general statement that we [Stratus and Lita] like to live by, just in case,” she said.
Trish Stratus also has unfinished business with Zoey Stark, as the rising star turned on her after her match against Becky Lynch. Fans are eagerly waiting for the WWE Hall of Famer to return and finish the story.
